Join us for our big month-long celebration – Manawatū’s Rural Month!

From 27 September to 31 October, we’ll be celebrating everything that makes the Manawatū district such a special place to live, work and visit – our rural heritage, our people, our businesses, our communities and our way of life.

Manawatū’s Rural Month is a celebration of the places, traditions and stories that have shaped our district, and the people whose hard work, innovation and community spirit continue to make it thrive today. From the paddocks and farms of rural Manawatū to Feilding’s vibrant town centre, from generations of farming families to world-class agri-business hub, the rural heart of our district runs through everything we do.

Throughout the month, there will be plenty of opportunities for locals and visitors alike to join in the celebrations, with an exciting programme of events, activities and experiences designed to showcase the very best of rural Manawatū.

Feilding & District Promotion is bringing together a diverse calendar featuring guided farm tours, country music concerts, special farmers’ markets, workshops, business challenges, The Great Rural Debate and, of course, our much-loved annual celebration when the country comes to town – Rural Day on Friday 9 October.

More than just a festival, Rural Month is a chance to come together and celebrate the people, places, traditions and lifestyle that make our community uniquely rural.

It’s our place. Our people. Our way of life.

And together, we’ll celebrate it all.
