Manawatu & West Coast A&P Assn

We are an A&P Association that has been in existence since 1886, firstly based at the “Show Grounds” Palmerston North (now known as Arena Manawatu) and latter (since 2005) based at Manfeild Park, South Street Fielding. We are a small committee of 25 active members with a further 300 plus volunteer that host an Annual Agricultural and Pastoral Show on the first weekend in November. We have managed to maintain the traditional elements of an Agricultural show – horses, cattle, dairy, sheep and pigs. We also host the NZ Dairy Event at the End of January, which focus is the best of the Dairy industry. Our Mission statement states – “Promoting Excellence in Agriculture - Our Association exists to educate and provide a hands-on Agricultural and Pastoral experience for those in the Manawatu and wider area who are not normally involved in a rural / farming environment. Hosting various events will enhance our visitors understanding of, and engagement with, the rural community and their ever changing and challenging environment”.
