Santa Claus came to town!

Feilding’s picturesque CBD with its' wrap around heritage streetscape and buildings was closed to all traffic from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 8 December and transformed for the Christmas Carnival where the streets will feature hundreds of non-food and food stalls, amusements, activities and live entertainment for everyone.

Manawatū artists, school groups and bands kept the entertainment rolling until 1.30pm when families lined the streets as the community parade spun its’ Christmas magic, weaving joy and excitement amongst the crowds. The entertainment then resumed after the parade through to 4pm.

 

Feilding’s festive tradition included local clubs, groups, schools, churches and business coming together to create something very special, by the community for the community, to enchant with Feilding’s Manchester Lions’ Christmas Parade.

But wait – there’s more! The carnival continued after the parade with all the action and activity.

The amazing Colossal Circus had a morning and afternoon show not to be missed. This award-winning, world class production company specialises in circus and performance and wowed the crowds!

As always friendly Feilding’s good old fashion hospitality and service in its’ boutique stores and eateries welcomed everyone in on Carnival day – a great opportunity to get shopping for Christmas while the kids enjoy all the entertainment.

Feilding’s Christmas Parade has been held on the second Sunday of December for decades and the team at Feilding & District Promotion are thrilled to invite friends and families again in 2025 on Sunday 14 December.
