This is a heart-warming, joyful story about a little girl who finds happiness through her experience of the metamorphosis of the Monarch Butterfly. Set within a Muslim family living in Ōtautahi Christchurch, the story is carried along by the underlying themes of healing through time and connection to nature, transporting children on a shared journey with Aya through all her ups and downs, and normalising different cultures in the hope that we can all live together in peace.
